WSU closes out regular season at Northern Colorado

• Fresh off two home wins last week, Weber State women's basketball closes out the regular season with two road games at Northern Colorado this week.
• The Wildcats and Bears will play Wednesday and Friday this week from Bank of Colorado Arena in Greeley. Both games will begin at 6:30 p.m. and both will be streamed live on Pluto TV 1059 with live stats at WeberStateSports.com.
• The Wildcats are 2-17 overall and 2-14 in Big Sky play. Weber State is coming off two home wins over Sacramento State last week. The 'Cats beat the Hornets 79-73 on Thursday and won in 75-69 in overtime on Saturday.
• Wildcat junior Daryn Hickok averaged 25 points, seven rebounds and two steals per game and shot 62 percent from the field in leading Weber State to the two wins and for her performance, she was honored as the Big Sky Conference Player of the Week. She scored 25 points and grabbed seven rebounds in both games. She was 9 of 13 from the field and 6 of 6 from the free throw line in Thursday's win, and followed that up with 25 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two blocks, while shooting 9 of 16 from the field and 5 of 6 from the free throw line in Saturday's overtime win over the Hornets. For the two games she was 18 of 29 from the field and 11 of 12 from the free throw line. On the season, the Portland, Oregon native leads the Wildcats in scoring at 12.3 points per game.
• Northern Colorado is 11-11 overall and 10-7 in Big Sky play, currently in fourth place in the league standings heading into the final weekend. The Bears have won four-straight games, with sweeps over Sacramento State and Portland State. UNC leads the Big Sky in 3-point field goal percentage at 38.8 percent and is also first in rebounding defense at 33 per game. Alisha Davis is third in the league in scoring at 16 points per game and leads the conference in rebounding at 10.1 per game. She is also second in blocks at 2.2 a game and ranks 13th in the country in double-doubles with 12.
• Northern Colorado holds a 22-14 all-time series lead over Weber State, but the series is 3-3 over the last six games. The two teams split last year with each team winning on the road. UNC is 12-5 against the Wildcats in Greeley.
• Velaida Harris is in her third season as the head coach of at Weber State.
• After this week's games, it's off to the Big Sky Tournament for the Wildcats. The tournament will begin on Monday, March 8. Weber State will be either the 10th or 11th seed and will play Monday night at either 5:00 or 8:00 at the Idaho Central Arena in Boise, Idaho.
