WSU drops road game at Montana State

BOZEMAN, Mont. - Weber State fell 84-57 to Montana State Saturday afternoon in Bozeman. 
 
MSU led by two after the first quarter but the Wildcats took their first lead at 24-22 with 5:07 left in the first half. That's when Montana State closed the half on a 16-0 run and led 38-24 at halftime. 
 
The Bobcats outscored the Wildcats 30-9 in the third quarter to lead by 37 points. The Wildcats came back with a strong fourth quarter, outscoring the Bobcats 24-16 in the final quarter.  
 
MSU shot 44 percent and held the Wildcats to 34 percent shooting. The Bobcats were also 15 of 29 from 3-point range and forced 19 Wildcat turnovers. 
 
Jadyn Matthews led Weber State with 13 points and pulled down seven rebounds and two blocked shots. Daryn Hickok had 12 points and Emma Torbert added 10 points and also had seven rebounds. 
 
Weber State returns to the Dee Events Center for two games next week hosting Montana on Thursday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at noon. Both games will be streamed on Pluto TV 1054.
