Wildcats sweep Bengals; improve to 13-1

POCATELLO, ID - Weber State women's volleyball came out victorious in an intense match against Idaho State on Sunday, March 14th in Pocatello, Idaho. The Wildcats swept the Bengals 3-0.
"Idaho State came out swinging and I like how we responded," said head coach, Jeremiah Larsen. I thought we played very composed volleyball and were able to get a huge win as we go into the last weekend of the season."
The Wildcats had a hard time gaining control over the Bengals in the first set, and the score was close until the end of the match. Weber State found their rhythm towards the end of the set, and won 25-17.
Weber State and Idaho State battled throughout the second set similar to the first. The score was tied for most of the set until the very last minute. Weber State was able to edge out the Bengals 25-23 to take the second set.
The Wildcats took complete control in the third set. The 'Cats had a .542 hitting percentage in the third set, and had 14 kills. ISU couldn't catch a break from WSU's domination, especially with serves. The Wildcats had five aces in the third set to widen the lead. The set ended 25-10.
Rylin Adams led the Wildcat offense, earning 20 kills and a .308 hitting percentage. Sam Schiess had 12 kills, and a .550 hitting average. Dani Nay had 7 kills, and three aces.
The Wildcats return home for their final regular season matches on March 20th and 21st against Montana State.
