Wildcats drops first match 3-1 at Northern Arizona

Weber State volleyball suffered its first loss of the season as the Wildcats saw their 10-match winning streak come to an end with a 3-1 loss at Northern Arizona Sunday afternoon in Flagstaff.
It was a battle of No. 1 and No. 2 in the Big Sky as the Wildcats entered the match with a 10-0 record and NAU was 8-2.
The Lumberjacks won the first set 25-20 before the Wildcats came back with a strong second set, winning 25-14 to tie the match. However, NAU won the third set 25-18 and then came back with a 25-20 win in set four.
Northern Arizona finished the match hitting .229, compared to .140 for the Wildcats. Rylin Adams led WSU with 14 kills and eight digs, while Emma Mangum added 11 kills. Dani Nay had nine kills and nine digs.
The same two teams will meet again Monday night at 6 p.m. in Flagstaff.
