Wildcat volleyball heads to round 1 of NCAA Championship

OGDEN, UT - The Weber State women's volleyball team is headed to the NCAA Championship for the first time since 1988! The 'Cats will face off against the Bowling Green Falcons on Wednesday, April 14th at 7:00 pm ET in Omaha, Nebraska.
The Wildcats are coming off the Big Sky Championship, where they beat the Northern Colorado Bears 3-1 in a rematch of the 2019 Championship. Weber State is currently sitting at 18-1 on the season after earning the regular season title, along with the tournament title.
The Wildcats and Falcons have only matched up once before in 2005. The neutral match in Brooklyn, New York went to five sets, but left Weber State with a 2-3 loss. Bowling Green is currently 22-1 on the season after winning the MAC Championship on April 3rd, 3-1.
The first round of the NCAA tournament is April 14th, and the second round will be April 15th. Regional semifinals are Sunday, April 18th, and the regional finals on April 19th. The national semifinals are Thursday, April 22nd, and the national championship on April 24th. The tournament will be held at the Chi Health Center Arena in Omaha, Nebraska.
