Emily Morgan-King sets Stadium record in 100 meters

OGDEN - The Weber State men's and women's track and field teams hosted their outdoor meet this season and the last meet before next week's Big Sky Championships. The Wildcats had several strong performances at the Weber State Twilight Meet Monday and Tuesday.

Weber State now turns its focus to the 2021 Big Sky Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which will be held May 12-15 at Stewart Stadium.

WOMEN

On the women's side Weber State claimed six titles. Senior Emily Morgan-King won two titles and set a stadium record in the process. She set a new Stewart Stadium record by winning the 100 meters with a time of 11.49. She followed that up by winning the 200 meters at 23.91. That time is the best in the Big Sky this season.

Weber State also won both relay events and Morgan-King anchored the WSU 4x100 meter relay, which posted a seasonal best time of 46.90.

Cidnee Davies-Bohn tied for first place in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.19.

In the field events, Paige Van Meeteren took home first place in the high jump with a jump of 5-09.25.

Alyssa Hansen qualified for the NCAA West First Round meet in the javelin with a career best mark of 154-00, which ranks as the sixth best in WSU history.

MEN

On the men's side Connor Cox took home first place in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:37.14.

The Wildcats won the 4x400 meter relay at 3:17.81.
