ITA Mountain Regionals

Provo, UT - BYU men's tennis hosted the ITA Mountain Regionals Tuesday - Saturday, Sept. 21-25.
Head coach Brad Ferreira had the following to say about the tournament, "First day of the regional event and we started off with doubles, where Arthur Serafim and Sebastian Buxman beat a strong Bosie team 8-7. Then Elyes Marouani and Tristan Sarap beat a team from Idaho State. In singles, Matteo Savio, Bo-Han Li, Elyes Marouani, Tristan Sarap, and Sebastian Buxman all won their first rounds."
"The most impressive win was Elyes who beat a very good player from New Mexico State and took a close loss to an NAU top-ranked player. Tristan Sarap continued his win streak by beating the #18 seed Jordan Sauer from UNLV and Sebastian Buxman remained unbeaten by taking out Rian Ta from the University of Utah," said Ferreira.
"Our second day of regionals, Tristan continued his winning ways beating a strong player from New Mexico State to advance to the last 16. Sebastian Buxman played a great match against the top-ranked player from the University of Utah and took a close loss, 6-2, 7-6. Jack Lin won two rounds to advance to the round of 16 in the back draw, and Coutinho and Savio advanced to the final eight of the back draw in doubles," said head coach Brad Ferreira.
Weber State men's tennis will head to the Utah Invitational starting October 7.
