Wildcats and Bengals meet again Thursday in Ogden

Weber State beat Idaho State 78-61 on Monday in Pocatello.
• After a meeting earlier this week in Pocatello, Weber State and Idaho State will hook up again Thursday night, this time in Ogden. The Wildcats and Bengals will tipoff at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Dee Events Center. The game will be televised on ESPN+ with Tony Parks and former WSU head coach Joe Cravens on the call. The Weber State radio broadcast with Steve Klauke and former WSU standout David Patten will be on 103.1 FM "The Wave". Live stats at WeberStateSports.com.
• The Wildcats are 12-5 overall and are on top of the Big Sky standings at 5-1. WSU is coming off a 78-61 win at Idaho State on Monday night. Koby McEwen and Seikou Sisoho Jawara each had 23 points to lead the Wildcats. WSU shot 48 percent from the field and made nine 3-pointers in the win.
• McEwen is fifth in the Big Sky in scoring at 17.5 points per game. He has scored in double figures in all but one game this season. He is also sixth in the league in 3-pointers per game and seventh in field goal percentage. McEwen was named to the watch list for the Lou Henson Award, given annually to the top mid-major player in the nation. Jawara averaged 20.5 points, made seven 3-pointers and shot 56 percent from the field in the last two wins.
• Dillon Jones leads the Big Sky and is ninth in the nation in rebounding at 10.4 per game. He is averaging 12.8 points per game and has nine double-doubles this season, tied for the 10th-most in the nation. Jones is also third in the conference in steals and fourth in minutes played.
• As a team, Weber State is second in the Big Sky in field goal percentage and 46.6 percent. This season the Wildcats are a perfect 12-0 when leading in field goal percentage and are 0-5 when trailing. WSU is also 8-0 wen leading in 3-point percentage. WSU is also 8-1 this season and 147-10 under coach Rahe when scoring 80 or more points in a game. In addition, the Wildcats are also ninth in the nation in total free throws made and free throws attempted.
• Idaho State is 3-12 overall and 1-5 in Big Sky play after Monday's loss to Weber State. The Wildcats are 83-46 all-time against the Bengals. In games in Ogden, Weber State is 49-13 all-time but the Bengals have won two of the last three games played at the Dee Events Center.
• After Thursday's game, Weber State will play the next three games on the road and starting Monday will play six games over a 13-day period. The 'Cats will start the road trip at Southern Utah Monday night.
