The Weber State men's cross country team finished second at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational in Sunnyvale, California this morning with 120 total points, in the last race before championship season.

The team was led by a 20th place finish by Logan Anderson with a time of 24:05.3. The team was able to stay close together with Bronson Winter finishing 24 at 24:13.5, Taylor Knight finishing 28 at 24:18.2, Ty Davis finishing 30 at 24:19.2, and Wesley Kallgren finishing 32 at 24:20.4 to round up scoring positions for the wildcats.

Overall, it was a great team race as the team continues to close the split times between individual finishes. Coach Corbin Talley spoke on preparations for Championship season starting in a couple weeks, saying, "We're continuing to focus on progression and growth this season. I think we learned more about ourselves this week that will help us as we go into the conference and regional championships. I was pleased with how well our guys worked together. And I'm really excited about the young group. 4 of our top six guys were freshman, and our spread from 1 to 5 was only :15. It gives us a lot to build on, and we're very excited to race even better at the conference championships."

The cross country team will compete at the Big Sky Conference Championships in Cheney, Washington at Eastern Washington University on Friday, October 28.
