OGDEN, Utah – Weber State's Aerin Song led the Wildcats to a second place finish at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational earlier this week and her performance was rewarded with the Big Sky Conference Women's Golfer of the Week award as the league announced its weekly honors on Wednesday.
Song shot a 2-under par total of 214 to finish in fourth place overall in the Seattle University-hosted tournament at Tacoma Country and Golf Club. She opened her tournament on Monday with three birdies and a 1-under par 71 and followed that up with another pair of birdies in an even-par 72 in the afternoon. On Tuesday, she carded another three birdies and her second 1-under par 71 of the tournament.
The fourth place finish was her second-consecutive top-5, after previously finishing in a tie for third place at the Eagle Invitational in Spokane, Wash.
Song's Golfer of the Week award was the second such honor for the Wildcats this season, as Jessica Zelasko won the conference's weekly honor in the opening week of the season.
