Wildcats Fall To Hornets On The Road

The Wildcats are 2-10 overall and 1-3 in the Big Sky

Sacramento, CA – The Weber State women's soccer team couldn't overcome a one-goal deficit as they fell to Sacramento State 1-0 Friday evening at Hornet Field.

WSU tallied 12 shots in the contest, putting five on the goal, but the Wildcats failed to find the back of the net.

After a back-and-forth first half, the Hornets broke through in the 40th minute to take a 1-0 lead heading into the break. The Wildcat's back line held firm throughout the second half to keep the score at 1-0, holding the Hornets to five shots in the period.

Mekell Moss recorded four saves for the 'Cats. Brynlee Meyerhoffer led the Wildcats with six shots, while Grace Kirby added four.
