Weber State Soccer Signs Eight New Players For 2023

Ogden, UT – It's signing day and the Wildcat family is growing! Weber State women's soccer Head Coach Craig Sanders is pleased to announce the signing of eight players. Joining Weber State as part of the 2023 signing class are Mya Fry, McKenzie Taylor, Maya Cordova, Ella Pierce, Delaney Gibbons, Ashlyn Price, Josephine DeLine, and Emrey Jacobs.
Mya Fry (Salem, OR) is a 5-foot-11 forward from South Salem High School. Her most recent club team was OVF. She also played for Portland Thorns ECNL and was selected to play in the ECNL Selection Game. In addition to playing soccer in high school, she also lettered in track.
McKenzie Taylor (Woods Cross, UT) is a 5-foot-3 center back and three-year letter winner from Woods Cross High School. Her most recent club team was La Roca where she was a State Cup Champion and voted to the ECNL Region 2nd Team.
Maya Cordova (Flower Mound, TX) is a 5-foot-7 goalkeeper and four-year letter winner from Flower Mound High School where she helped win the Texas 6A State Championship in 2021. She was an All-District performer in 2022 and played club soccer for Sting Royal ECNL.
Ella Pierce (South Jordan, UT) is a 5-foot-9 center back and four-year letter winner from Bingham High School. She spent the last two years playing collegiately at Salt Lake Community College where she received All-American honors in 2021. She played club soccer for Impact United.
Delaney Gibbons (Lewiston, UT) is a 5-foot-5 midfielder and two-year letter winner from Sky View High School. She played club soccer for Utah Avalanche ECNL and was on the President's Cup Championship team in 2021.
Josephine DeLine (Corbett, OR) is a 5-foot-6 defender and four-year letter winner from Sam Barlow High School. She played club soccer for Thorns Academy ECNL.
Emery Jacobs (Kaysville, UT) is a 5-foot-9 defender and State Champion from Davis High School. In 2022 she was awarded the All-Area MVP. She played club soccer for La Roca where she was a 4x State Champion and National Champion.
Ashlyn Price (South Ogden, UT) is a 5-foot-5 defender/midfielder and three-year letter winner from Bonneville High School. She was a three-year Region Champion, 5A Finalist in 2020, and Semi-Finalist in 2021. She played club soccer for Avalanche ECNL.
