Wildcats back home Saturday night

Weber State will host Saint Martin's Saturday at 7 p.m. Sandou Quick Change will perform at halftime.
• It's back home for the Weber State men's basketball team as the Wildcats host Saint Martin's Saturday night. The game will tipoff at 7 p.m. at the Dee Events Center. It will be televised on ESPN+ with Jon Oglesby and former WSU head coach Joe Cravens on the call. The Weber State radio broadcast will be on 103.1 FM "The Wave" with Steve Klauke and former Big Sky MVP and WSU standout David Patten calling the action. The Sandou Quick Change will perform at halftime.
• Weber State is 2-7 on the season and coming off a 64-52 loss at California Baptist on Wednesday. Saturday night. This will be just the third home game of the season for the Wildcats who have started out with seven of the first nine games away from home.
• Saint Martin's University is a Division II school located in Lacey, Washington. This season the Saints are 8-1 and are ranked 20th in the nation in this week's D2SIDA men's basketball poll. Saint Martin's plays in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. This is their only Division I game this season. Saint Martin's ranks fourth in all of Division II in 3-point attempts per game at 30.9 and is eighth in 3-pointers made per game at 10.9. This is the first meeting ever between the two schools.
• Weber State leads the nation in free throw shooting at 83.4 percent. The Wildcats are 141 for 169 from the line this season and have led their opponents in free throw percentage in every game this season. Over the last five games, the 'Cats are shooting 90.4 percent and have shot 90 percent or better three times in the last five games. Individually, senior Zahir Porter is 13th in the country at 92.9 percent.
• Wildcat sophomore forward Dillon Jones scored a season-high 22 points in Wednesday's game at California Baptist. He was 7 of 13 from the field and also had a season-high four steals. On the season, Jones is averaging 14.1 points per game and has scored in double figures five times. He is also fourth in the Big Sky in rebounding at 9.0 per game and has four double-doubles on the season. He ranks sixth in the country in defensive rebounds per game at 8.1.
• After Saturday's game, the Wildcats will be back on the road for the final three non-conference games of the season, starting next Friday, Dec. 16 at Cal Poly. The 'Cats will then play at Utah State and at BYU, then start conference play on Dec. 29.
