Wildcats take on Vandals Saturday in Moscow

Weber State and Idaho meet Saturday at 3 p.m. Mountain time.
• With a two-game losing streak, Weber State stays on the road for another Big Sky game Saturday afternoon at the University of Idaho. The Wildcats and Vandals will tipoff at 2 p.m. Pacific time (3 p.m. Mountain time) from the new ICCU Arena in Moscow, Idaho. The game will be televised on ESPN+ with the WSU radio broadcast will be on 103.1 FM "The Wave". Live stats at WeberStateSports.com and the Weber State Wildcats mobile app.
• The Wildcats are 18-7 overall and 11-3 in Big Sky play following Thursday's 75-67 loss at Eastern Washington. The loss dropped the Wildcats a half game behind Montana State for first place in the conference standings with six games remaining.
• Idaho is 5-18 overall and 2-11 in conference play. The Vandals have lost four straight games, including a 79-70 loss to Idaho State Thursday night.
• Saturday's game will be the 500th career game for head coach Randy Rahe at Weber State. Rahe is Weber State's and the Big Sky's all-time leader in games won and games coached and is the first coach in conference history to reach 500 career games. He is 313-186 all-time in his 16 seasons at Weber State and is 196-81 in Big Sky games. Rahe has led the Wildcats to five Big Sky titles and three NCAA Tournament appearances. He has coached six Big Sky MVP's, including NBA superstar Damian Lillard. He has also led Weber State to at least 10 Big Sky wins in 14 of his 16 seasons.
• Sophomore Seikou Sisoho Jawara led the Wildcats in Thursday's game at Eastern Washington with 24 points and a career-high six 3-pointers. Jawara was 9 of 14 from the field, including a career-best 6 of 7 from 3-point range. He also tied his season-high with five rebounds and had two steals. It was his 15th game scoring in double figures this season and his sixth time scoring 20 or more points in a game. On the year, Sisoho Jawara is averaging 13.1 points per game and ranks second in the Big Sky in 3-point field goal percentage at 44.3 percent. He is also eighth in 3-pointers per game at 2.2.
• Freshman Dillon Jones pulled down 12 rebounds in Thursday's game and has recorded double figures in rebounds in seven-straight games. He leads the Big Sky and is eighth in the country in rebounds at 10.7 per game. He also has 12 double-doubles on the year, tied for the ninth-most of any player in the nation this season. Jones is averaging 12.4 points per game and ranks fifth in the Big Sky in steals and is shooting 53.5 percent from the field.
• Senior Dontay Bassett added 13 points on 5 of 8 shooting with two 3-pointers in Thursday's game. He also had five rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals. Bassett is averaging 9.2 points per game and is averaging 10.7 a game in Big Sky play.
• Senior transfer Koby McEwen had 12 points on Thursday and continues to lead the Wildcats and ranks third in the Big Sky in scoring at 17.7 points per game. He has scored in double figures in all but one game and has reached 20 or more nine times. McEwen is also seventh in the Big Sky in field goal percentage and eighth in free throw percentage. He also ranks second in the nation in free throws with 131 and is sixth in the country in free throw attempts with 161. Earlier this year, McEwen was named to the watch list for the Lou Henson Award, given annually to the top mid-major player in the nation.
• Weber State was 6 of 9 from the free throw line in Thursday's game, which is the fewest makes and fewest attempts at the free throw line in a game this season. As a team, Weber State is third in the country in the nation in free throws made this season with 405, an average of 16.2 per game. The Wildcats are also fifth in the country in free throw attempts with 544, for an average of 21.8 attempts per game.
• The Vandals are 4-6 at home this season in their brand new ICCU Arena. Idaho is third in the league in rebounding margin at +3.2 and fourth in 3-point field goal percentage. The Vandals are last in the league in scoring defense, allowing 80.3 points per game.
• Weber State holds a 61-24 overall series lead over Idaho and the Wildcats have won the last seven games, including a win earlier this season in Ogden. Idaho's last win over Weber State came in February 2018. In games in Moscow, Weber State is 25-17 all-time and has won four straight. The Wildcats swept two games in Moscow last season.
• Weber State beat the Vandals 84-74 on January 13 in Ogden. WSU had four players in double figures, led by Seikou Sisoho Jawara and JJ Overton each with 18 points. Weber State also forced 19 Idaho turnovers and had 10 steals.
• Senior Michal Kozak has now played in 131 career games at Weber State, which tied with Kyle Tresnak for the second-most games ever played. Kozak needs just two more games to pass Jordan Richardson and become WSU's all-time leader in games played. Kozak is also fifth in school history in career blocks with 104 and is 17th in career rebounds with 575.
• Weber State will be back home for two games next week hosting Sacramento State on Thursday and Northern Colorado on Saturday. After that, the Wildcats will have just three conference games remaining. The Big Sky Tournament will be March 9-12 in Boise, Idaho.
