Wildcats Take 6-1 Win Over Roadrunners

Denver, CO - The Weber State men's tennis team went up against the MSU Denver Roadrunners this Saturday morning. Starting strong in doubles play the Wildcats secured the early 1-0 advantage and continued their strong play into singles, defeating the Roadrunners 6-1.

Starting strong in doubles, Jordan Coutinho and Matteo Savio earned the 'Cats their first point as they defeated Alejandro Jimenez and Jeanloup Auzias, 6-2 on court 3. Not far behind, Elyes Marouani and Tristan Sarap secured the doubles point on court 2 when they took the upper hand against Carlos Pinedo and Andy Caruana, 6-4.

WSU headed into singles play with the early 1-0 advantage. Quickly securing the first 5 points, the 'Cats walked away with the 6-1 win against MSU Denver.

Andy Caruana earned the Roadrunners their sole point for the day on court 5, 7-5, 3-6, (11-13).
