Wildcats Defeat NAU to Win Third Straight

Ogden, UT - The Weber State women's tennis team defeated Northern Arizona 4-3 Friday afternoon at the Ogden Athletic Club.
"We had a great team effort today," said head coach RuthAnn Allen.
"We were happy to get the win against NAU since they have a strong program. I am proud of the fight out team continues to exhibit."
The 'Cats clinched the doubles point quickly. Weber's No. 3 doubles team of Yuuna Ukita and Megan Lombardi won 6-2 and the No. 1 doubles team of Sicely Ferriera and Megan Davies dispatched the Lumberjacks 7-5 as well.Â
Ana Morett earned the win with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles. Patty Kuo won next at No. 3 singles, picking up a 6-2, 7-6 victory. Megan Lombardi locked up Weber's fourth win at No. 6 singles 6-4, 7-5 securing the 'Cats 4-3 win over the Lumberjacks.Â
Up Next: WSU is back on the courts Sunday, Feb 27 against Portland State University at the Ogden Athletic Club with the first serve set for 11 a.m.
