Wildcats Earn Three Singles Victories At Air Force On Thursday

USAF Academy, CO - The Weber State women's tennis team fell 4-3 at the USAFA Indoor Tennis Courts Thursday evening.
The Falcons took two of the three doubles matches. Megan Lombardi and Yuuna Ukita fell 6-1 in their match against Hailey Stelse and Alex Kuo in the No. 3 spot. Sicely Ferreira and Megan Davies lost 6-1 to Vivian Glozman and Karina Chao in the No. 1 spot.
Pei-Hsuan Kuo and Ana Morett went unfinished in the No. 2 spot.
The Wildcats fought hard in their singles matches, winning on 3 courts. Sicely Ferreira took the upper hand against Alex Kuo 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 5 spot. Ana Morett defeated Sydney Fitch in a 3 set match 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 and Megan Lombardi earned the victory 6-3, 6-1 when she defeated Isabella Flodin in the No. 6 spot.
"I am very proud of our team. They had a very hard fought match and they came up a little short," said head coach RuthAnn Allen.
"They battled to the end and will be stronger from this experience."
Up Next: The 'Cats will continue their weekend in Colorado as they take on the University of Denver Friday, Mar 4 at 1 p.m.
