Davis, CA – The Weber State men's tennis team started another weekend of play this Friday morning at the Marya Welch Tennis Center. Despite securing the doubles point, the Wildcats fell short in singles and lost the match 4-1 against the Aggies.
During doubles play, the Weber squad showed a great performance. On court one Elyes Marouani and Tristan Sarap downed the Aggie duo 6-3. Then, Weber's doubles team of Bo Han-Li and Chia-Chieh Lin defeated Mitchell Davis and Coleton Hootman 6-4, awarding the 'Cats the first point in the match.
As the team moved to singles, the Wildcats faced some tough competition. On court four, the opposition took the upper hand against Weber's Bo-Han Li for scores of 6-0, 6-0. On court three, Tristan Sarap dropped his match 6-3, 6-1, breaking the one-point tie and placing UC Davis in the lead.
On court one, Sebastian Buxman fell 6-3, 6-1, and on court five, Matteo Savio was defeated 7-5, 6-0. Elyes Marouani and Chia-Chieh Lin found themselves in battle with their opponents on courts two and six, and both matches went unfinished.
