Wildcats Clinch 4-3 Win Over The Bengals

The win moves the 'Cats to 7-1 in the Big Sky Conference
Pocatello, ID - The Weber State Women's Tennis team clinched a 4-3 win over the Idaho State Bengals this Sunday afternoon at the Reed Gym in Pocatello, Idaho. The victory moves the Wildcats to 7-1 in the Big Sky Conference and secures the number one seed in the Big Sky Championship starting April 28 through 30.Â
"I am so proud of our team efforts," said head coach RuthAnn Allen.
"Patty Kuo led the charge back, followed by Ana Morett, Megan Lombardi, and Sicely Ferreira to clinch the match. We have fought hard this year as a team and that has made a difference."
After Idaho State won the doubles point, the Bengals won two of the completed singles matches.Â
A tough battle by the 'Cats in singles play led to Sicely Ferreira clinching the match for the Wildcats in the No. 5 position. The victory over the Idaho State Bengals moved Weber State to 7-1 in the Big Sky Conference and secured the number one seed for the Big Sky Championship.Â
Weber State will attend the Big Sky Championship April 28-30 in Phoenix, Arizona.
