OGDEN - Weber State football fans will get the first glimpse of the 2022 Wildcat football season at the Weber State spring game this Saturday. For the first time in three years, Weber State football will hold a spring football game, which will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday.Â
Admission to the game at Stewart Stadium is free. Coach Jay Hill will lead the Wildcats in the game which will feature the purple team against the black team. The game format will include four 12-minute quarters with a running clock in the second half.Â
There will also be a yard sale of Wildcat gear during the game.Â
This is the first full practice schedule in the spring for three years. The Wildcats are coming off a 6-5 record in 2021, after a 5-1 record in the spring season, including a fourth-straight conference title. Weber State had 11 players earn All-Big Sky honors in the fall 2021 season.Â

Mickey Mental has taken over as the new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Wildcats.Â
The 2022 season will feature six home games, beginning Thursday, September 1 against Western Oregon. WSU will also host Dixie State in non-conference play. The Wildcats will also host Eastern Washington, Montana, Sacramento State and Idaho State in Big Sky play.Â
