After spending last week in the California sunshine, the Wildcats worked through weather delays down at BYU to continue honing their performances as they near the Championship portion of the season.

Competition at the Robison Invitational began on Wednesday and Thursday with multis where Emily Barnes-Sterzer roared to a Weber State record, and first-place finishing score of 5202 points. Emily finished first in the 200m and 800m and the high jump for the competition and saw top-three finishes in nearly every other event over the two days of competition. She also had a PR in the high jump with a jump of 5' 5.25". Her score is just shy of first place in the Big Sky this season.

The rest of the team had to wait until Saturday to compete as meet officials and coaches decided to postpone because of bad weather. Despite the day missed, the Wildcats performed well at the meet.

Starting with the 100-meter hurdles where Cidnee Davie-Bohn finished 3rd for the event with a time of 13.92 which puts her number two for the Big Sky this season and is a new PR.

In the 100-meter dash Jasmine Devers finished eighth with 12.21, her time puts her 16th in the Big Sky this season. Brittany Cardall finished just behind her at 12.25 for ninth place, she didn't improve on her season best of 12.12 but that time still has her 14th in the Big Sky. Riley Roberts ran 12.54... Devers and Cardall also finished close to each other in the 200-meters with Devers running 24.83, and Cardall at 25.10, putting her 19th for the Big Sky.

In the 400-meter hurdles Emily Barnes-Sterzer finished third at 1:00.10, just a couple seconds shy of her PR. Her season best is still number one in the Big Sky this season.

Angelyca Chapman set a personal best in the 400-meter dash at 58.12.

In long jump, Davies-Bohn put in a second-place finish with a leap of 18' 11.5" which moves her to fifth in the Big Sky.

Stefanie Aeschlimann finished third in the triple jump with a mark of 37' 10" which is a season best.

Kapua Pulotu put together two fourth-place finishes in the Shot Put and the Discus. She threw 45' 9.5" in Shot Put which moves her up a spot in the Big Sky rankings, and 156' 5.25" in the Discus, another improvement on her season best, she sits fourth currently in the Big Sky.

In the Hammer Throw Marissa Brunner-Schmidt finished seventh with a throw of 162' 8".

Lauren Olsen threw 138' 3" in the Javelin to finish sixth.

Overall, it was a good week of competition with some athletes taking time to nurse some minor injuries and battling through the stormy weather. The Wildcats will be back in action next week at the Bengal Invitational at Idaho State which will be the last meet before the Big Sky Championships.
