NCAA Regional Meet Qualifiers

Christian Allen qualified in two events, the 5K and 10K. Christian ranks 36 in the 5K with a time of 13:40.88, which ranks number one in school history, and 18 in the 10K at 28:26.35 which has him second in the school record books.
Dallin Leatham will join Christian as a 10K qualifier a number 37 time in the region at 28:47.43 which ranks third on the all-time WSU list.
A pack of Wildcats have qualified for the 3K Steeplechase with Tracen Warnick leading out with the 14th spot in the region with a time of 8:41.04 and a number nine spot on the WSU all-time. Tracen is followed by Bronson Winter at 28 and a time of 8:46.58. Freshman WSU record holder Peter Visser comes next with a time of 8:49.77 and a number 43 rank. The fourth and final Wildcat to qualify here is Jamison Wilkes in 49thwith a time of 8:51.20.
Big Sky Champion Lachlan Burns has qualified in the Pole Vault with his clearance of 17' 0.75" that he set at the Big Sky Championship meet a week ago. Lachlan has the number two all-time height for the Pole Vault at 17' 2.75".
A pair of Javelin throwers have also qualified, with Cody Canard, who finished second at the Big Sky Championships, throwing 218' 5" to put him number 26 for the region, and sixth for WSUs all-time list. Josh Trafny also qualifies in the 36th spot with a throw of 212' 2" which has him number seven on the school records.
Events will begin next week on Thursday, May 26 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the University of Arkansas and will be completed on Saturday, May 28. We are looking forward to cheering on all the athletes who have qualified for the meet and are proud of all our Wildcats for a great season of competition.
