Weber State continues its season with road matches against Denver and Nebraska.
Boulder, CO - The Weber State women's soccer team played in a tough match this evening against the Pac-12 Colorado Buffaloes. The 'Cats fell to the Buffs 5-0 in 90 minutes of play.
Throughout the first half, both teams found possession and the Wildcats were able to string passes together. Saydree Bell opened up the Wildcats' scoring opportunities with shots near the end of the half. Weber State had kept the Buffs from any real scoring chances for much of the first half, but the Buffaloes' Rachel Rosen found the back of the net in the 39th minute and Colorado led Weber State 1-0 at halftime.
In the second half, Colorado began to get comfortable on WSU's end of the field early, which helped them net goals in the 51st, 54th, and 64th minutes. Colorado added on one more in the 88th minute on a penalty kick called against Rachel Twede. The Wildcats weren't able to convert a goal in the second half and the final score ended at 5-0 for the Buffaloes.
