Wildcats Drop Match To Pioneers

The Wildcats continue on the road for their next match against Nebraska, on Sunday, Aug 28.
Denver, CO - The Weber State women's soccer team fell 2-0 in a hard-fought match against the University of Denver Pioneers in Denver, CO.
In the first half, the Cats struggled to gain offensive momentum and did not get a shot on goal compared to the Pioneers' five shots. The Pioneers' intensity early on awarded them a goal in the 7th minute.
In the second half, WSU found the Pioneers' side of the field. Gentrey Gibson, Sayler Schlosser, and Ali Swensen opened opportunities to score for the Cats but could not find the back of the net. They were able to hold the Pioneers without a score until the 75th minute when Denver earned their second goal.
Denver held Weber State scoreless in the second half to end the game 2-0 for the Pioneers.
