Buerger Named Big Sky Golfer of the Week

FARMINGTON, Utah – Weber State's Isaac Buerger has been named the Big Sky Conference Men's Golfer of the Week following his performance at the Dolenc Invitational as the league announced its weekly honor on Wednesday.

Buerger led the 'Cats to a second place finish at the tournament, finishing third overall with a 5-under par total of 208. He opened the tournament with six birdies and a 4-under par 67 to take the top spot on the individual leaderboard. He backed up his morning round with another three birdies and a 2-under par 69 and remained the overnight leader. He added another two birdies on the final day, shooting a 1-over par 72, but slipped to third on the leaderboard.

The award is the second for the senior from Redmond, Ore. in just four weeks played thus far in the 2022 fall season. Isaac previously earned the honor on Sep. 7 following his performance in the Weber State-Utah State Cup match play event.
