‘Cats Win 4-3 Over Falcons

USAF Academy, CO – The Weber State women's tennis team earned its first win of the season after defeating Air Force 4-3 Saturday morning. The 'Cats walk away 1-1 on the weekend after two tough non-conference matches.
"It was a great win for us today," said head coach RuthAnn Allen. "We played with belief and continued to battle. I'm proud of everyone on the team for their efforts."
Despite losing the doubles point, the 'Cats rallied back in singles play winning the first four matches.
Megan Davies quickly earned her point on court three as she defeated Alexis Odom 6-1, 6-2. Following her lead to put the 'Cats ahead, Ana Morett won 6-2, 6-4 against Sydney Fitch.
Increasing that lead, Megan Lombardi secured the 3-1 advantage on court two with her 6-4, 6-4 victory over Abby Cotuna.
In the No. 4 position, a tough battle was fought between Wildcat Kenadee Semenik and Isabella Flodin. Semenik pushed Flodin to her limits, bringing her to three sets and clinching the win for the 'Cats posting results of 0-6, 7-6, 6-3.
