Wildcat Tennis Stopped By BYU

Ogden, UT – The Weber State women's tennis team played their first home match of the season this Friday afternoon as they took on opponent BYU and fell 7-0.
"BYU played a good match, but we needed to play with more energy and belief," said head coach RuthAnn Allen.
In the No. 3 position in doubles action, Megan Lombardi and Dylan Lolofie competed to fall narrowly 5-7. However, the Cougars ran away with all of the doubles positions to take the point advantage.
Going into singles play, Megan Davies fought hard in the No. 3 position taking her match to three sets 5-7, 6-1, 3-6 but couldn't finish out the third set to take the win. On court two, Megan Lombardi battled against BYU's Emilee Astle and came up short 7-5, 7-6 (8-0).
The 'Cats were unable to find a singles win, but there were some great individual performances throughout.
