Wildcat soccer kicks off three game home series against Sac State

Weber State soccer is headed into their final stretch of the regular season with their final three games at home. To kick off the series, the 'Cats are set to host the Sacramento State Hornets on October 13 at 7 pm MT. The match will be streamed on ESPN +.

The Wildcats currently sit at 0-9-3 on the season and are coming off of a 1-2 loss against the University of Montana on October 5.

Alexis Simpson was the lone 'Cat to find the back of the net off of an assist from Sayler Schlosser in the 67th minute. It was Simpson's first goal of the season. Hadley Harris was the keeper for the 'Cats, recording 11 saves on the day.

The Wildcats recorded 16 shots with seven being on goal. Simpson and Schlosser each recorded two shots on goal and Ali Swensen, Grace Kirby and Grace Kirby each recorded one shot on goal.

The Hornets currently sit at 4-7-3 and are coming off of a 0-1 loss against the University of Idaho on October 8.

Weber State currently holds the all-time record against Sac State at 16-10 and recorded a 4-2 victory in a penalty shootout in the Big Sky Conference Championship in 2022. The Hornets previously recorded a 0-1 victory against the 'Cats in the regular season.

Following their match against Sac State, the 'Cats will host Portland State on October 15 at 12 pm MT.
