Wildcats Withdraw Amid Lengthy Weather Delay at Big O Classic

ELKHORN, Neb. – The Weber State men's golf team withdrew from the final round of the Big O Classic at Indian Creek Golf Club as thunderstorms moving through the area caused a lengthy weather delay.
The Wildcats, who had moved one spot up into 11th place during the final round, was the lone team located outside of the midwest and was unable to wait out the delay with flights back to Utah booked for Tuesday evening.
Omaha and Creighton tied atop the team standings at 14-over par 878 following the delay. Gaspar Glaudas of Indian Hills Community College took medalist honors with a 6-under par 210.
Weber State will be back in action next week as they travel to Somis, Calif. to compete in the Bill Cullum Invitational at Saticoy Country Club.
