Wildcats Finish 6th in Rain-Shortened Trailblazer Invitational

WASHINGTON, Utah – The Weber State women's golf team concluded the Cafe Zupas Trailblazer Invitational in sixth place on Tuesday as the third, and final, round of the event was canceled midway through the round due to weather.
The Wildcats shot rounds of 313 and 314 on Monday for what would become their tournament total of 627.
Cal Baptist emerged as the tournament champions with a total of 610, coming in two shots ahead of second place CSU-Northridge. Tournament-host Utah Tech finished third at 615.
CSU-Northridge was led to its runner-up position by Gracie Piar, who came away with individual medalist honors after shooting a 4-under par total of 140.
Weber State was led by Aerin Song, who shot back-to-back rounds of 77 to tie for 10th place at 10-over par 154. Song carded a pair of birdies in each of her two rounds.
Jessica Zelasko and Sofia Fuenmayor joined Aerin Song in the top-20, finishing tied for 15th and tied for 17th, respectively. Zelasko shot rounds of 80 and 76 for a 12-over par total of 156, posting five birdies, including three in her second round 76. Fuenmayor shot a 13-over par total of 157 which was highlighted with three birdies in a 3-over 75 on Monday morning.
Emily Song shot a 17-over par total of 161 to tie for 33rd overall, while Isabel Gutierrez rounded out the Wildcats' scoring team with a tie for 44th at 165.
Rachel Lillywhite and Samira Salinas each played as individuals for Weber State, with Lillywhite joining Gutierrez in a tie for 44th at 165 and Salinas shooting 170 to finish in 52nd place.
