Portland, OR – The Weber State women's tennis squad finished their second match of the weekend against the #66 Portland Pilots. The 'Cats fells short in the battle for the doubles point, and the Pilots took the upper hand in the match, leaving several matches unfinished for a final score of 4-0.
Doubles play went by quickly for the 'Cats. On court two, Megan Lombardi and Dylan Lolofie lost their battle to the Pilot duo 6-1. Soon after, Megan Davies and Ana Morett dropped their match 6-1, awarding the Pilots with the doubles point.
As the match moved to singles, the Wildcats looked to recover from the Pilot's advantage, needing four matches to win.
Portland's second point came on court two, where Megan Davies fell short 6-2, 6-4. Megan Lombardi lost her match on court three, finishing 6-0, 6-4. The match was clinched on court one, where Ana Morett's opponent took the upper hand, defeating her 6-4, 6-4.
The matches on courts four, five, and six went unfinished.
