Women’s Tennis Defeats MSU 6-1 At Home

Ogden, UT – The Weber State women's tennis squad secured their second conference win against Montana State at the Ogden Athletic Club this Friday afternoon.
The day began with doubles play where the 'Cats quickly earned the point early on, with a 6-4 finish from Kenadee Semenik and Sicely Ferreira on court three followed by a 6-3 win from Megan Lombardi and Dylan Lolofie. On court one, Ana Morett and Megan Davies finished the sweep with a 7(7)-6(3) victory.
As the team moved to their individual matches of the afternoon, Megan Lombardi cruised through her match, finishing first on court two with a score of 6-0, 6-3. Putting the 'Cats ahead by three, Megan Davies won 6-3, 6-2 against her opponent.
The match point came on court five as Li Yang (Cindy) Ping An won her match downing her opponent 6-2, 6-1. The Bobcat's sole point on the day came on court four from Felicia Jayasaputra when she defeated Kenadee Semenik 7-6, 6-0. Soon after, Ana Morett finished with the upper hand 6-4, 6-2 and Dylan Lolofie played out her match and won 7-5, 6-2 ending the day in favor of the Wildcats 6-1.
