Ogden, UT – The Weber State women's tennis team returned to action at the Ogden Athletic Club for a match against the Idaho State Bengals. After securing the doubles point, the women dominated singles for a final score of 5-2.
The match began with a close doubles point. On court two, Ana Morett and Megan Davies started off with a strong lead winning 6-4. However, the Bengals battled back earning the win on court three. With the doubles point on the line, the advantage came down to who would be victorious on court two. The Wildcat duo of Dylan Lolofie and Megan Lombardi faced a tough dual but came out on top in the end 6-3 against their opponents.
The match moved to singles and the 'Cats looked to dominate, starting off strong on court two. Megan Davies took the upper hand 6-1, 6-1 against Lola O'Lideadha. The team's third point came on court one as Ana Morett defeated Hana Cho 6-2, 6-4.
Weber State clinched the match on court four, where Kenadee Semenik took the first set but dropped the second pushing her to a three-set match against Megan Lang-Gould. Ultimately, Semenik came out on top 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 giving the 'Cats their fourth point on the day.
Idaho State earned points on courts three and five. Dylan Lolofie awarded the 'Cats their fifth and final point on the day when she defeated Leah Kuruvilla 2-6, 6-2 (10-8).
