Bronson Winter earns honorable mention All-America honors

Winter finished 24th in the steeplechase at the NCAA Championships.
Weber State junior Bronson Winter earned honorable mention All-America honors by competing at the 2023 NCAA Track and Field Championships in Austin, Texas.Â
Winter finished 24th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in the semifinals of the event Wednesday night to earn honorable mention honors. He posted a time of 9:12.30 in the event.Â
"I'm very proud of the effort from Bronson," said WSU men's head coach Corbin Talley. "On the fourth or fifth water jump he re-aggravated a hamstring injury from six weeks ago and that really inhibited him on the final three laps. He's bummed, but we're proud of him. He had a great season and has a lot of fire to make it back in 2024."
Earlier this year, Winter finished fourth in the steeplechase at the Big Sky Championships. He qualified for the NCAA Championships by finishing ninth in the NCAA West Region meet.Â
