Men’s Tennis Stays Hot In UNLV Tournament

Las Vegas, NV — The Weber State men's tennis team won their third consecutive game this afternoon taking down New Mexico State 4-2 in the back half of a Saturday doubleheader.
Jordan Coutinho continued his red hot start to the season winning his singles match 7-5, 6-3 moving to 5-0 in singles matches to open the year. William Zulch and Tuan (Ken) Minh contributed the other two singles points for the Wildcats with Zulch taking the win 7-6 (8-6), 6-4, and Minh finishing off his opponent in two sets with scores of 6-1, 6-2.
The Wildcats were able to clinch the doubles point with victories from the duos of Elyes Marouani/Tristan Sarap and Tuan (Ken) Minh/Matteo Savio. The combination of Marouani and Sarap won 6-3 in the No. 1 slot while Minh and Savio clinched the doubles point for the 'Cats with a 6-2 victory.
The Wildcats have now won all three of their matches in the UNLV Tournament and will look to take all four as they take on Hawaii tomorrow morning at 9:30am to close it out.
