Wildcat cross country competed at the Steve T. Reeder Memorial Invitational hosted by USU on October 11.

The 'Cats didn't record a team score where the majority of athletes who competed ran unattached and our top ten athletes were held in preparation for pre-nationals next week.

"I was very happy with our men's performance at the meet today," head coach Corbin Talley said. "We had nine guys in the race and all of them ran with a lot of heart."

The 7K course was run at the Steve and Dona Reeder Cross Country Course. Brady Christensen led the squad with a 7th place finish at 21.45, Wyatt Wingard recorded a tenth place finish at 22:02, Bryce Anderson finished 11th at 22:06, Will Luoma was close behind in 12th at 22:10 and Carson Day finished 14th at 22:15.

"This was a great opportunity for our young guys to prove themselves," Talley said. "And they ran very well, which is exciting for our future teams."

Joe Corbridge finished 17th at 22:30, Jess Christiansen recorded a 20th place finish at 22:39, Tyler Spencer finished 24th at 22:55 and Tyler Chipman finished 28th 23:04.

All nine athletes who competed today finished in the top 30 of 72 competing.

As previously mentioned, the 'Cats will travel to Wisconsin for the NCAA Pre-Nationals on October 19.
