Two late goals secure the Wildcats a win over the Bengals

Wildcat soccer recorded a 2-1 win against the Idaho State Bengals on October 13. The 'Cats improve to 2-9-5 on the season.Â
The Bengals were the first to find the back of the net off of a penalty kick in the first half from Talia Coury.Â
The 'Cats recorded both of their goals in the second half and less than 10 minutes from one another. Grace Kirby-Hortin scored the equalizer off of an assist from Ali Swensen and Jenna Nichols at 61:36 and Sammie Sofonia sent a header past the Bengals keeper off of an assist from Sayler Schlosser at 67:10. This is Kirby-Hortins's first goal on the season and Sofonia's second goal.Â
The Wildcats out-shot the Bengals 15-8 with six shots being on target. Kirby-Hortin led the squad with six shots with two on target, Swensen had three shots with one on target, Schlosser recorded two goals with one being on target, and Amanda Caswell, Sofonia, Brynlee Meyerhoffer and Lily Blum all recorded one shot.Â
Hadley Harris was the keeper for the 'Cats and recorded two saves.Â
The 'Cats will hit the road to take on the University of Idaho on October 18 at 7 pm MT.
