'Cats coming off of first conference win and set to hit the road for Idaho

The 'Cats are back in action and set to take on the University of Idaho on October 18 at 7 pm MT.

Coming off of a 2-1 victory against Idaho State on October 13, the Wildcats currently sit at 2-9-5 on the season.

Grace Kirby-Hortin scored the equalizer with her first goal of the season and Sammie Sofonia scored the game winner off of a header less than 10 minutes later.

The Vandals are currently 9-4-2 on the season and are coming off of a 3-2 win against Northern Arizona on October 13.

The 'Cats most recently faced off against the Vandals in 2023 and walked away with a 1-1 draw.

Kirby-Hortin scored the lone goal off of an assist from Sayler Schlosser and Alaina Wildenradt. Hannah Alfaro-Black scored for the Vandals goal in that match off of an assist from Alyssa Peters. All five players who had a hand in scoring are returning players for both squads.

The overall record between the two squads is 5-8-3 and the Vandals hold the advantage.

The match will be streamed on ESPN +.

Following their trip to Moscow, Idaho, the 'Cats will remain on the road and take on Eastern Washington on October 20 at 2 pm MT.
