The 'Cats fell 0-3 to the Sac State Hornets on October 6 in Sacramento, California. Weber State now sits at 1-9-5 on the season.
Though the 'Cats weren't able to find the back of the net, their closest opportunity came late in the second half of the match off of a free kick. Lily Blum took the shot and made it past the Sac State goalie but was stopped by the Hornet defense.
Two of the Hornets goals were scored in the first half, coming from Ellie Farber and Sydney Sharts. Their third goal was scored late in the second half from Ariana Scholten.
The Wildcats recorded 14 shots over 90 minutes. Lily Blum led the way with four shots with three being on target, Sayler Schlosser was close behind with three shots with one on target, Sammie Sofonia had two shots, and Ali Swensen, Ella Sanders, Grace Kirby-Hortin, Brynlee Meyerhoffer and Amanda Caswell each had one shot.
Maya Cordova was the 'keeper for the 'Cats and recorded one save over 90 minutes.
The 'Cats will be back home next week to host the Idaho State Bengals for an alumni weekend on October 13.
