Wildcats fall to Wolfpack in Reno

Weber State will conclude its three-game road trip at Hawai'i on Sunday night.
RENO, Nev. - Weber State dropped its second straight road game as the 'Cats fell 88-58 at Nevada Wednesday night at the Lawlor Events Center.Â
Nevada outscored the Wildcats 48-30 in the second half and improved to 3-0 on the season.Â
Nevada shot 57 percent from the field and held Weber State to 28 percent shooting. The Wildcats were 3 of 20 on 3-point field goals, while the Wolfpack made 12 3-pointers and dished out 24 assists.Â
Weber State also committed 23 fouls and had five players with at least four fouls. The Wildcats outrebounded the Wolfpack 37-31.
Weber State led by four points early on after back-to-back 3-pointers from Miguel Tomley gave WSU an 18-14 lead with 11:27 to play in the half.Â
Nevada went on a 15-4 run over the final four minutes of the first half and led 40-28 at the break.Â
It was all Nevada in the second half as the Wolfpack started the half on a 17-4 run in the first five minutes.Â
 Nevada held Weber State to just five made field goals in the second half.
For the second straight game, Blaise Threatt led Weber State in scoring as he finished with 13 points to go along with five rebounds and four assists. Threatt was also 7 of 8 from the free throw line.Â
Senior transfer Vasilije Vucinic had his first career double-double as he finished with 11 points and a career-high and game-high 12 rebounds. Miguel Tomley made two 3-pointers and finished with eight points and Dyson Koehler had seven points.Â
Weber State is 1-2 on the early season. The Wildcats will conclude their three-game road trip this Sunday night at Hawai'i. Tipoff will be 5 p.m. Hawaiian time (8 MT) on Sunday.Â
