Blaise Threatt had a career-high 27 points for the 'Cats. Weber State returns home Friday night against UC Irvine.

Blaise Threatt had a career-high but Hawai's 10-0 run in overtime lifted the Rainbow Warriors to a 73-68 overtime win over Weber State Sunday evening at the Stan Sherriff Center in Honolulu.

The Wildcats led 38-31 at halftime and shot 58 percent from the field in the first half and the 'Cats took their biggest lead of 10 points five minutes into the second half.

Hawai'i responded with a 16-5 run and regained the lead with 6:37 to play. Neither team led by more than two points the rest of regulation. Miguel Tomley gave the 'Cats a lead with 25 seconds left but a layup by Hawai'i's Tanner Christensen with six seconds left sent the game to overtime tied 57-57.

In the extra period, Tomley made a 3-pointer that gave the 'Cats a two-point lead before a 10-0 Hawai'i run put the Rainbow Warriors up eight points with 1:24 remaining. Hawai'i made five free throws in the final 38 seconds to seal the win.

Both teams shot 43 percent from the field. Weber State made four 3-pointers, compared to three for the Rainbow Warriors and the 'Cats forced 13 turnovers with seven blocked shots. WSU was 12 of 20 from the free throw line. Hawai'i shot 40 free throws, compared to 20 for Weber State.

Threatt led the Wildcats in scoring for the third-straight game and finished with a Weber State career-high of 27 points. He was 11 of 18 from the field and 5 of 5 from the free throw line for the 27 points. He also had nine rebounds, tied his career-high with five steals, and dished out three assists.

Through four games, Threatt is averaging 17 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game, while shooting 54 percent from the field.

Tomley added 12 points for the Wildcats. Nigel Burris had seven points and Dyson Koehler had five points with nine rebounds. Alex Tew had six points and three blocked shots.

Sunday's game was the first for Weber State against Hawai'i in 49 years.
