WACO, Texas - Doubles duo Connor Kruger and Minh Tuan Dinh Viet fell 3-6, 6-4, 9-11 to the number nine ranked Vasco Prata and Matias Iturbe from Charlotte in the Round of 32 at the NCAA Individual Championships.

The NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship was conducted in Waco, TX where Baylor University served as the host. All matches are the best-of-three sets. No-ad scoring and a seven-point tiebreaker (first to seven points, must win by two points) at six-games-all were used for all matches. In doubles, a 10-point match tiebreaker was played in lieu of a third set. Singles and doubles participants qualified to the Division I singles and doubles championships via competition in approved qualifying pathway events.

Kruger and Dinh Viet earned their automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Tennis Doubles Championship after winning the ITA Mountain Region doubles title in Las Vegas in October.

"The boys lost today in a very well fought match against the team currently ranked number nine in the nation on the latest ITA rankings" said head coach Brad Ferreira.

"They lost the first set trying to get over nerves, but then played and won a very solid second set. In the super tie-breaker for the third set we had some good chances but let it slip away 11-9. I am very proud of their accomplishments, making the tournament is a huge deal for the program and they were close to knocking off a top ranked team."
