The Wildcats resume tournament play Sunday, Mar. 3 for their final game of the weekend against Oregon State.
Fullerton, CA – The Weber State softball team fell to UCLA and San Jose State on Saturday.
Game One - Weber State: 0 UCLA: 8
The Wildcats return to the diamond on Sunday, Mar. 3 for one more game at the Judi Garman Classic against Oregon State. First pitch is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Live stats can be found at WeberStateSports.com. There will not be streamed games for the Wildcats.

Game One - Weber State: 0 UCLA: 8
- Wildcat softball fell to UCLA, 8-0, in seven innings.
- UCLA scored two runs in the first inning, adding one more in the second and four more in the fifth.
- Weber State tallied three hits but was unable to reach home.
- In the circle Brooke Hatfield suffered her first loss of the season (0-1). Pitching one inning allowing four runs and three runs. She recorded one strikeout.
- Mia Rushton led Weber State offensively going 2-for-3 at the plate.
- To get the Wildcats on the board, Weber State's Mariyah Delgado singled up the middle and Olivia Birkinshaw scored on an unearned run in the top of the second. Adding another run, Mia Rushton reached on a fielding error and Delgado touched home plate (2-0).
- There was action for both teams in the third.
- Makayla Donahoo singled through the right side to bring in two RBI while Gianna Memoli singled through the left side and Donahoo scored. The Wildcats led 5-0 into the bottom of the third.
- With the Spartans now at bat, San Jose State found two runs in the third plus another in the bottom of the fifth.
- The score now sat at 5-3 still in the Wildcat's favor.
- The Spartans found their momentum offensively in the bottom of the sixth, recording five runs.
- With the Wildcats scoreless in the sixth and seventh, San Jose State closed out the game 8-5.
- Weber State recorded five runs, eight hits, and one error compared to the Spartan's eight runs, 12 hits, and two errors.
- Joslynn Veltien earned the loss, going 0-3 on the season.
- Birkinshaw went 2-for-4 at the plate with two runs.
