Wildcats pick up 77-69 road win at Idaho State

WSU shot 58 percent from the field and Dyson Koehler led the Wildcats with 21 points.
POCATELLO, Idaho - Three Wildcats scored in double figures and the 'Cats shot a season-high field goal percentage Weber State picked up a 77-69 road win at Idaho State Saturday night at Reed Gym, the first Big Sky win of the season for the Wildcats.Â
Weber State shot 58.8 from the field, their best shooting percentage of the season against a Division I team, as the 'Cats snapped a four-game losing streak. WSU held Idaho State to 40 percent shooting.Â
WSU also outscored the Bengals 42-26 in the paint and knocked down six 3-pointers.Â
Dyson Koehler finished with 21 points and knocked down six 3-pointers. He was 7 of 11 from the field and 6 of 8 from 3-point range. He also had five rebounds on the night. Koehler had 16 points in the first half and was a perfect 5 of 5 from 3-point range.Â
Blaise Threatt added 17 points on 7 of 10 shooting and Vasilije Vucinic also had 17 points on 8 of 11 shooting.Â
The Wildcats closed the first half on an 8-0 run and held a 36-30 lead at halftime after shooting 56 percent from the field.Â
Weber State never trailed in the second half and led by as many as 13 points.
After playing four straight games on the road, including the first three conference games, Weber State will finally return home for two games this week for two key Big Sky games hosting Montana on Thursday and Montana State on Saturday.Â
