'Cats fall to 63-59 to Montana

Weber State back home again Saturday night against Montana State.
OGDEN - The short-handed Weber State Wildcats dropped their home Big Sky opener Thursday night, falling 63-59 to Montana at the Dee Events Center.
The Wildcats played without senior Blaise Threatt who missed the game due to illness.
The game had 13 lead changes and six ties. Weber State closed the first half on a 10-0 run over the final 3:33 and led 32-29 at halftime.
There were 11 lead changes in the second half. WSU led by five with 4:44 to play before a 6-0 Montana run gave the Grizzlies a one-point lead with 1:18 to play. The 'Cats regained the lead after a Miguel Tomley jump shot with 42 seconds left, but Montana scored the final five points in the final to seal the win.
Weber State shot 43 percent from the field and held Montana to 40 percent shooting. The Grizzlies outrebounded the Wildcats 34-30 and forced 11 Wildcat turnovers.
Three Wildcats scored in double figures led by Miguel Tomley with 16 points and two 3-pointers. He also pulled down six rebounds.
Vasilije Vucinic added 13 points and a team-high nine rebounds. He was 3 of 5 from the field and 7 of 8 from the free throw line.
Dyson Koehler added 10 points and knocked down two 3-pointers.
Freshman Saadiq Moore started the game in Threatt's absence and had team-highs of four assists and three steals.
The Wildcats are right back home again Saturday night to host Montana State at 7 p.m. at the Dee Events Center.
Weber State will honor the 1995 Wildcat team at halftime of Saturday's game on the 30th anniversary of their historic season.
