OGDEN - Montana State had a big second half run and knocked off Weber State 80-71 Saturday night at the Dee Events Center.

Once again the Wildcats were short-handed as they played without senior Blaise Threatt who missed his second-straight game due to illness.

The 'Cats held a 29-28 lead at halftime. WSU led 49-47 with 10:38 to play before a 17-4 run by Montana State put the Bobcats up 11 with five minutes to play. The Wildcats were never closer than seven points the rest of the way.

Montana State shot 48 percent from the field, compared to 45 percent for the Wildcats. MSU knocked down 10 3-pointers and forced 13 Wildcat turnovers. Both teams had 31 rebounds but MSU also had 32 points in the paint and six steals.

Four Wildcats scored in double figures with Miguel Tomley and Trevor Hennig each scoring 13 points. Hennig also had a team-high four assists.

Freshman Saadiq Moore started the game and had 10 points with three assists and Viljami Vartiainen also added 10 points with two 3-pointers. Nigel Burris added nine points and a team-high nine rebounds.

The Wildcats hit the road for two games next week playing at Portland State and Sacramento State on Thursday and Saturday before returning home for a four-game homestand.
