Weber State and Montana State tipoff at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Dee Events Center.

• After a tough loss on Thursday night, Weber State is right back at home again Saturday night for another Big Sky showdown, hosting Montana State. 


• The Wildcats and Bobcats will tipoff at 7 p.m. on Saturday night from the Dee Events Center. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and the ESPN app with Tony Parks and former Weber State head coach Joe Cravens on the call. The Weber State radio broadcast will be on 103.1 FM "The Wave" with Carl Arky and former Weber State standout and Big Sky MVP David Patten on the call.

• Weber State is 7-11 overall and 1-3 in conference play and coming off a 63-59 home loss to Montana on Thursday night. The Wildcats played without their leading scorer Blaise Threatt but still nearly beat the Grizzlies before Montana scored the final six points of the game to secure the win.  
 
• Montana State is 6-12 overall and 1-4 in conference play. The Bobcats are coming off a 70-67 loss at Idaho State on Thursday night.  

• The Wildcats played without Blaise Threatt in Thursday's game due to illness. Threatt has scored in double figures in all 17 games he has played and is third in the Big Sky in scoring at 16.9 points per game. He also leads the conference in steals at 2.4 per game, and is third in minutes played, fourth in assist to turnover ratio, fifth in assists, , and sixth in field goal percentage. 
In his absence, true freshman Saadiq Moore had his first collegiate start. Moore had two points and led the team with four assists and three steals.  
 
Miguel Tomley led Weber State with 16 points and had a season-high six rebounds in Thursday's game. He has scored in double figures nine times this season. 
Vasilije Vucinic had 13 points and a team-high nine rebounds on Thursday. Vucinic leads the Wildcats in field goal percentage at 65.3 percent and is averaging 14.8 points and 6.5 rebounds in the four Big Sky games. 
Senior Dyson Koehler added 10 points with two 3-pointers on Thursday. Koehler is tied for the WSU lead in points per game in Big Sky games at 15 and has 14 3-pointers in the four conference games. 


• During halftime of Saturday's game with Montana State, Weber State will honor the 1995 Wildcat men's basketball team on the 30th anniversary of their historic season. The Wildcats won the Big Sky title, Big Sky Tournament, and beat Michigan State in the NCAA Tournament in 1995. Several players and coaches from that team will be in attendance at the game and recognized at halftime. 


• Montana State is 6-12 overall and 1-4 in conference play and the Bobcats have lost seven of their last eight games heading into Saturday. They have played six of their last eight games on the road and are just 1-10 on the road this season. 
In conference play, the Bobcats started out with losses at Idaho and Eastern Washington, then a home loss to Northern Colorado, before a win over Northern Arizona. On Thursday night, they lost 70-67 at Idaho State. 


• This year the Bobcats lead the Big Sky and are 20th in the country in 3-point defense, holding opponents to 28.7 percent shooting from 3-point range. MSU is also first in the conference and 31st in the country in turnovers at 10.2 per game. Montana State is also second in the conference in 3-pointers per game and turnover margin. 


• Montana State was picked to finish first in the Big Sky in the preseason media poll and second in the coaches poll. The Bobcats were 17-18 last season and finished fifth in the conference at 9-9. MSU won the conference tournament for the third straight year to advance to the NCAA Tournament. Matt Logie is in his second season as head coach. 
 
• This will be the 135th all-time meeting between Weber State and Montana State, two charter members of the Big Sky Conference. The Wildcats hold a 90-44 all-time series lead over the Bobcats and the 90 wins are tied with NAU for the most wins for Weber State against any opponent in its history. 
MSU has won the last two and six of the last eight against Weber State. The Wildcats beat the Bobcats in Ogden last season, but lost in Bozeman and in Boise in the Big Sky Tournament. 
In games in Ogden, Weber State is 56-9 all-time against the Bobcats and have won four of the last five.  
 
• Montana State has knocked Weber State out of the Big Sky Tournament in each of the last three seasons, and the Bobcats have won the conference tournament in each of the last three years to advance to the NCAA Tournament.  


• The Wildcats are coached by Eric Duft who returns for his third season as head coach and his 19th season overall at Weber State. He spent 16 seasons as an assistant coach under Randy Rahe before becoming the 10th head coach in WSU history in May 2022. Weber State won 20 games last season that included Big Sky MVP Dillon Jones who led the conference in points, rebounds, and assists. Jones was the 26th pick in the first round of the NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder.  Jones joins Damian Lillard as the only two Wildcats ever drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft. 


• Weber State has nine players coming from six different countries on this year's roster.  The 'Cats have three players from Canada, two from Serbia, and one each from England, Finland, Montenegro, and Japan. 


• After Saturday, Weber State hits the road for two games next week at Portland State and Sacramento State, before returning home for a four-game homestand.
