Ogden, UT - Weber State soccer head coach Kyle Christensen has been named the Big Sky Conference Coach of the Year in his first season at the helm. Christensen received the honor following a vote of the league's head coaches.

In his first season as head coach of the Wildcats, Christensen led Weber State to an 11-6-1 record and the #2 seed in the Big Sky Conference Tournament, just one year removed from a 2-13-5 mark in 2024.

The 9-win turnaround is the largest in program history since 1997, and the Wildcats closed the regular season with a 94 RPI, good for first in the Big Sky Conference.

He becomes the 7th coach in the history of the program to earn the honor and the first since Tim Crompton took home the award in 2018.

Christensen has revitalized the program in his first year as head coach, leading the 'Cats to their first 11-win season since 2021 and taking the team from 8th in the conference to 2nd in just his first season.

The Wildcats will begin their Big Sky Conference Tournament run on Friday, November 7th, at 11:00 a.m. when they will face either the #3 Eastern Washington Eagles or the #6 Northern Arizona Lumberjacks.
