Wildcats Look to Rebound Against UC Santa Barbara

Weber State returns to Wildcat Soccer Field this Sunday
OGDEN, Utah — Weber State soccer returns to Wildcat Soccer Field Sunday afternoon as the Wildcats host UC Santa Barbara at 1 p.m.
The Wildcats enter Sunday's matchup looking to bounce back after a 3-2 loss to South Dakota State on Thursday. Despite the result, Weber State received a strong offensive performance from Lily Blum, who scored both of the Wildcats' goals, including a penalty kick in the 43rd minute and a second goal just over two minutes into the second half.
Weber State finished Thursday's match with nine shots, including seven on goal, while Oakley Anderson recorded four shots, all four on frame. The Wildcats will look to carry that offensive pressure into Sunday's matchup.
UC Santa Barbara enters the contest with a 4-1-3 record. The Gauchos recently returned to the win column with a 3-1 victory over Idaho State on Thursday after recording three consecutive draws. UC Santa Barbara also earned draws against North Dakota State, North Dakota and UC Davis during its recent stretch.
Sunday's matchup provides Weber State with another opportunity to close out its nonconference home schedule on a strong note. The Wildcats enter the match with a 3-3-1 record and will look to use the home-field advantage to get back into the win column.
