Wildcats fall to Montana in Conference Opener

Ogden, UT — The Weber State women's tennis team fell to the Montana Grizzlies 6-1 in their Big Sky Conference opener.
The 'Cats dropped doubles play to the Griz falling in positions 1 and 2 by a score of 6-4 and 6-3. Aleks Bozinovska and Alicia Morales ended on the wrong end of a close match on Court #3. The duo fell 7-6 (8-6).
The Grizzlies kept the momentum going into singles play winning five of the six singles matches. The only Wildcat to come out on top in her singles match was Jessica Hill. Hill took the match in straight sets winning 7-6 (8-6), 6-1 in the number four slot. Cindy Li was able to take her match to three sets before falling 3-6, 6-3, 10-5.
The Wildcats head to the Pacific Northwest and will take on Portland on Saturday, March 1st at 10:00 a.m. local time. The Pilots head into the match riding a three-game winning streak as the Wildcats still search for their first win of the season.
